For A Soldier's Christmas...

Well, my first attempt at Pyrography was for a special Soldier, my brother in law.  I thought I'd share the pics of my work with y'all.  I whited out the personal inscriptions.  I've never tried pyrography in my life and my husband actually introduced me to it many years ago.  So, yay for learning something new everyday! Since I just got news that he received it today and was very happy to have it as a keepsake box while being away from his wonderful family, I can finally show y'all what I did.  Haha!

I'm not quite sure why this is sideways but y'all can still see it...

I just want y'all to know I was just winging the pyrography..  I had checked youtube for some tips, and there were only 2 examples and they weren't very informative at all!!  Youtube had failed me!! =P
I couldn't afford the expensive how to books to help me through the process... LOL  I just prayed and this was what I ended up with.

I must admit I haven't felt the "tis the season" feeling people get around this time of year... but I gotta say.. today was completely different.  Knowing how much he enjoyed his gift.. yes he got it early!!  Haha.. but just knowing that.. has really warmed up my holiday cheer.

I also recently read via facebook of a widow who decided to pay off complete strangers' lay-a-ways in Kmart and it inspired me to put some money on someone's lay-a-way even though it was only $20.  This was a couple weeks after I overheard a woman complaining about the Salvation Army standing outside of Walmart.  Saying, "Oh Gosh!  They are at both ends.  I can't stand it, people beggin' for money."  REALLY?!? I was so upset to hear someone talk down about others in need.  I could go on and on but I won't.  So, I ask you...  will YOU pay it forward as well?

Much love and many blessings,
*HUGS* =^_^=

Grey Hair???

I should be in bed right now.  LOL I am anxious to learn everything I must know to succeed... I know, patience is a virtue and I strive to be patient.  Time makes you wise.  I've also heard grey hair is a sign of wisdom. ;D

I just don't understand women today.  WHY bother covering your silver or grey hair?  I just want to say when that time comes when I have more than one grey hair, I will wear my silver grey "natural" highlights proudly.  I once saw this beautiful woman with naturally curly hair-very much like mine but hers was salt and pepper.  I thought it was gorgeous.  Why don't more women age gracefully?  I personally say no to hair dye.  It is fake.  Be proud of who YOU are.  My husband tricked me the other night, he pretended he had dyed his hair!  He has salt/pepper hair and I LOVE it.  Hahaha I was so upset and he got an earful when he said revealed it was simply wet XD

This was me (nearing) TEN years ago!  LOL
Be proud of who you are, love yourself for all you are,
love everything you WILL be.

Much love and many blessings,

Welcome to my blog

A new blog!! I suppose it's because I have so many wonderful ideas that I can't put all of them in videos on Youtube.  I don't have a vlog channel.. it's more of a singer/songwriter/digital art channel.  I would also like to share my other works I do off camera.  It always takes me a while to post videos so, I don't always post on a regular basis because I'm a wife and mother first.  I have three wonderful kids.  I suppose my other ideas.. makeup tutorials, pictures of artwork, the process I go through to get my videos completed.. any other questions that pop up in between any Q&A videos I do.. I can put here.  So WELCOME to this brand new blog!!  I hope we can get to know each other more!  I am also on facebook, just ad me as a friend.  No, I don't have a "fan page".  LOL  I'll be posting videos I find interesting from youtube on here as well.  I have seen it all on youtube and to be honest.. I'm not a romance novel type chick.  Nope.. I enjoy watching conspiracy theorists.  Haha!  Who would have thunk it right?  So.. once again, welcome and thank you for visiting this odd.. fantasy.. real life blog XD
